Reverse Adopt Budget

Use the Reverse Adopt Budget command to unadopt a budget for selected funds. This feature is useful when the state makes last minute changes after you've adopted the budget or when errors have occurred during import, but not caught until after the budget is adopted.

This command can be executed only on adopted budgets; it can't be used on new, adjusted, or revised budgets.

What happens when you execute this command?

• The adopted amounts for each account code are moved back into the Proposed Amount column.

• The fund's budget status is set back to Proposed.

• The Reverse transaction for each fund is created with the same date as the earlier Adopt transaction date for that fund.

Reverse adopt a budget

1. Select Budget Management from the Budget menu, and that window opens with the current fiscal year budget displayed.

2. Click Reverse Adopt Budget, and a popup opens allowing you to select the Adopted fund(s) whose budget you want to unadopt.

3. Check the box(es) for the budgets you want to unadopt, and click OK.

4. The budgets are unadopted, and the Result window opens.

5. Click Close when you're done reviewing the results. You're returned to the Budget Management window, and the selected budgets will now be in the Proposed state.
