The Depreciation Forecast Report provides the net value of a specific asset or a group of assets at a specific location.
The Depreciation Forecast Report displays next year’s annual depreciation journal entry. In order to forecast depreciation, AptaFund calculates depreciation for an asset for the remaining current year and uses the year-end figures to calculate the annual depreciation for the coming year. The report provides a view of asset value in the next year and shows which assets may be fully depreciated.
Only capital asset types appear on the report. Assets in the Depreciated, New, and Disposed states are not included.
Access the Depreciation Forecast Report from the Reports menu > Capital Assets module.
Fields included on the report are: account code, asset number, item description, in-service date, useful life, original cost, salvage value, begin accumulated depreciation, end accumulated depreciation, total depreciation, frequency depreciation, and frequency. The report is sorted by account code, then asset number.
