If you're going to create several leave types with similar characteristics, you may want to create one and then copy it several times. This feature is also helpful if a leave type has an end date in one fiscal year, and you want to copy it for the next fiscal year.
This process copies all general fields from the existing leave type, in addition to all information on the Group Leave Types, Accrual Total Schedule, and Accrual Cap Schedule tabs.
You can edit the information in the Copy Leave Type window or in the new leave type after it's created.
Select Manage Leave from the Leave menu, and that window opens.
Check the box for the leave type you want to copy, and click Copy. The Copy Leave Type window opens.
Enter the new Effective Start Date.
Complete other fields as desired. Note: You'll also be able to edit the general fields, group leave types, accrual schedules, and caps after the leave type has been copied.
Click Save. The new leave type is created.
