Delete a Budget Item

While you can't delete a whole budget, you can delete budget items from a Proposed budget. When deleting the budget item, the account code is not deleted — it's just moved from the Budget Items tab to the Available Account Codes tab.

  1. Select Budget Management from the Budget menu, and that window opens. Note: If you need to work in a different accounting cycle, select it from the link in the upper right corner.

  2. Select the Proposed budget from the Fund list as needed to find the budget item(s) you want to delete.

  3. Check the box(es) for the account(s) you want to delete from the budget, and click Delete. You're asked to confirm the action.

  4. Click Yes. The budget items are deleted, and the Result window opens.

  5. Click Close when you're finished reviewing the results of the action.
