Use the Reverse Adopt Budget command to unadopt a budget for selected funds. This feature is useful when the state makes last minute changes after you've adopted the budget or when errors have occurred during import, but not caught until after the budget is adopted.
This command can be executed only on adopted budgets; it can't be used on new, adjusted, or revised budgets.
The adopted amounts for each account code are moved back into the Proposed Amount column.
The fund's budget status is set back to Proposed.
The Reverse transaction for each fund is created with the same date as the earlier Adopt transaction date for that fund.
Select Budget Management from the Budget menu, and that window opens. Note: If you need to work in a different accounting cycle, select it from the link in the upper right corner.
Click Reverse Adopt Budget, and a popup opens listing the funds with adopted budgets.
Check the box(es) for the funds whose budgets you want to unadopt, and click OK.
The budgets are unadopted, and the Result window opens.
Click Close when you're done reviewing the results. You're returned to the Budget Management window, and the unadopted budgets will now be in the Proposed state.
