Re-open an Accounting Cycle

You can re-open an accounting cycle that's been closed, but not locked. This command is for use at the administrative level to allow work on any issues that may have arisen in a previously closed cycle.

Note: Adjustments to a re-opened accounting cycle are not automatically made in its succeeding accounting cycle.

  1. Select Accounting Cycle from the Chart of Accounts menu, and the Accounting Cycle window opens.

  2. Check the box(es) for the accounting cycle(s) you want to open, and select Open Cycle from the More menu. You're notified of success or failure.
