Element Value Export

Use the Element Value Export to speed the process of creating a new account structure when your chart of accounts must be changed for a new year.

The export will obtain all Enabled element values. The only Disabled element values that it obtains are element values that are parents – they will then be enabled. This action will keep the element value hierarchy.

Export element values from old cycle

1. Open the Export setup window. You can reach this window in two ways.

• Select Exports from the My AptaFund menu. Then select Chart of Accounts Administration from the Modules list, and Element Value Export from the Chart of Accounts Administration - Chart of Accounts section.

• Or, select Element Value Export from the Administration menu — Exports - Fiscal Year End section.

2. Select the StructureName of the old structure, and click Export to File.

3. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file, and save it.

4. Open the exported data text file to make changes or add new rows as required. Note: You can also make changes and additions in the Element Value Maintenance window after you've imported the element values.

When you're ready, you can continue to import the element values into the new cycle.
