Accepting an account structure changes its status from undefined to defined, and this action can't be reversed.
Be sure you're satisfied with the account structure.
Set additional elements to static as needed. Note: Although you can make an element static after accepting the account structure, we don't recommend this action. Your existing general ledger entries may not balance within the new static elements, and there is no easy way to tell why it is out of balance.
Select Structure Maintenance from the Chart of Accounts menu, and the Structure Maintenance window opens.
From the Structure pull-down list, select the structure you want to accept, and that structure is displayed.
Select Accept Structure Definition from the pull-down gear menu beside the Structure pull-down menu. You're asked to confirm the action.
Read the warning, and if you still want to accept the structure, click Yes. You'll be notified when the action is successful.
Once you've accepted the structure, you're ready to add the element values that you'll use to create account codes.
