You can only edit the description of an attached file. If you want to change the attachment, you'll need to delete the attachment and add a new one.
These instructions use the feature in Capital Assets > Asset Management as an example.
Within the window that supports attachments, select the record on which you want to edit the description, and select Attached Files from the More menu. The Attached Files window opens.
Select the attachment you want to edit, click the Edit button, and the Edit Attachment window opens.
Enter a new Description to appear in the Attached Files window.
Click Save, and you're returned to the Attached Files window with the information about the file displayed.
You can edit the descriptions of attached files from within either the Vendor Invoice window or the Edit Invoice window.

Within the window that supports attachments, check the box for the record on which you want to edit the description of an attachment, and select Edit, or click the Invoice(s) link. The Edit Invoice window opens.
Click on the Attached Files tab, and you'll see the list of files.
Select the attachment you want to edit, click the Edit button, and the Edit Attachment window opens.
Enter a new Description to appear in the Attached Files window.
Click Save, and you're returned to the Attached Files window with the information about the file displayed.
