The Position Management window displays all positions associated with the selected master position.
For controlled master positions, you'll use this window to add, edit, and delete positions.
For uncontrolled master positions, this window is read-only and shows all positions that were created when jobs were added to employees in Manage Employees or Employee Jobs. When an employee job is approved, a position is automatically created in Position Management and linked to the approved job. When a job is closed, the position is automatically deleted from this window, but it remains displayed in the employee record in Manage Employees.

Click on the master position Name link in the upper grid to view the associated positions in the lower grid.
Total job count in Position Management
For controlled positions, total positions = filled positions + vacant positions.
For uncontrolled positions, total positions = filled positions.
New: A controlled position has just been added to a master position, but isn't yet approved, and so isn't available to be filled by an employee.
Vacant: A controlled position has been added to a master position and approved. It's now available to be filled by an employee.
Filled: A controlled position has been filled by an employee; an uncontrolled position has been added to an employee as a job.
