Scores for Evaluation Criteria — Overall Performance Rating

Used for both principals and teachers/SSPs

Score	Definition	Examples of Equivalent Definitions
00	N/A – Use for staff that don’t have the job codes for principals, teachers, or SSPs
01	Highly Effective, or the equivalent	Highly satisfactory or exemplary
02	Effective, or the equivalent	Satisfactory or proficient
03	Partially Effective, or the equivalent	Progressing or approaching satisfactory
04	Ineffective, or the equivalent	Unsatisfactory
05	Not Yet Evaluated – Use with newly hired teachers that haven’t been formally evaluated yet
06	Evaluation wasn’t conducted in prior year for a reason other than being newly hired

01	Exemplary, or the equivalent	Distinguished or highly effective; the highest rating
02	Accomplished, or the equivalent	Advanced
03	Proficient, or the equivalent	Effective
04	Partially Proficient, or the equivalent	Partially effective or developing
05	Basic	Ineffective, unsatisfactory; the lowest rating
