Creating a Deduction Set — State Withholding & Group Term Life Information

1. While in the Deduction Details window, complete the State Withholding Information. The fields displayed will vary according to state. Note: If the State Filing Status is Exempt, the Exemption Reason pull-down list will include the state's accepted reasons for the exempt status.

2. Complete the Group Term Life Information.

• GTL Coverage Type: Select from Fixed, Multiple of actual pay, Multiple of job salary.

• If Fixed:

• GTL Coverage: Enter the amount of the GTL coverage.

• GTL Effective Date: Enter the effective date.

• Distribution: How should the GTL benefit be distributed? Select from Evenly over Pay or Lump Sum.

• If Multiple of actual pay or Multiple of job salary:

• GTL Factor: Enter the number by which the actual pay or job salary will be multiplied.

• GTL Additional Amount: Enter the amount of the additional GTL policy, if applicable.

• GTL Effective Date: Enter the effective date.
