Use the Rollover Bill Schedule feature to copy recurring bill schedules with their billing items into the next fiscal year. Note: The next fiscal year must be open in the system for this feature to be available.
If any of the items on the bill schedule are associated with a project that expires on or before the end of the current fiscal year, a dialog window will open providing several options with respect to how these items should be rolled.
After the schedule is rolled to the next year, the billing item information should be validated by running the Pending Item Validation/Error Report. It is possible that some of the accounting information will not be valid in the new fiscal year. This report will help identify any errors that might prevent that billing schedule from being successfully posted.
In order to begin posting billing schedules in the new fiscal year, the Accounts Receivable Rollover routine must first be executed.
Select Bill Schedules from the Accounts Receivable menu, and the Bill Schedules window opens.
Check the box(es) beside the schedule(s) you want to rollover to the new fiscal year, and select Rollover Bill Schedule from the More Actions menu at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to rollover the selected bill schedules.
Click Yes, and the selected bill schedules with their billing items will be copied to the new fiscal year.
Run the Pending Bill Item Validation/Error Report to review the accounting information for possible errors that need to be fixed before the bill schedule(s) can be posted in the new fiscal year.
Run Accounts Receivable Rollover before posting billing schedules in the new fiscal year.
