The approval process is the collection of approvers and approval levels. Each approval process consists of all the levels that a requisition or leave request must travel through on its journey from submitted to approved.
An approval may contain one or multiple levels.
A requisition or leave request has only one process.
Use this feature to create approval processes and add approval levels to the processes .
Select Approval Process, then Approval Process from the Administration menu, and the Approval Process window opens.
Click the Add button, and the Approval Process Details window opens.
Enter a Title for the approval process. Note: Give it a different name from any of the approval levels and approvers.
Optional. Enter a Description to make it easier to differentiate if you have many approval processes.
Click the Enabled button to make this process available.
Click Save, and the record is saved.
Add Approval Levels for this process.
Click the Add button at the bottom of the window, and the Select Approval Level popup window opens.
Select an approval level from the pull-down list, and click Save. The list contains only approval levels that haven't yet been assigned to an approval process.
Repeat step 7 as needed until you've added all approval levels you want in this process.
Rearrange the order of the approval levels as needed. The level with Approval Order #1 will be the first to approve the request; #2 will be second, and so on.
Select an Approval Level by checking its box, and click either the Move Up or Move Down button to reposition the level.
Repeat until the levels are in the desired order.
