You can only edit journal entries that have not yet been posted. If you need to edit a posted transaction, you must first void the transaction, and then create a new transaction.
Audit tab: All changes to a transaction are logged on the Audit tab.
Associated tab: When you void, redate, copy, or move a transaction, the Associated tab on the original transaction displays information about, and links to, the new transactions, while the Associated tab on the new transactions displays information about, and links to, the original transaction.
Select Transaction Journal from the General Ledger menu, and that window opens.
Check the box(es) for the unposted transaction(s) you want to edit, and click the Edit button, or click the Transaction Number link to edit a single transaction. The Edit Journal Entry window opens.
Change the Transaction Date and Comment as needed.
Add transaction lines as needed.
Edit transaction lines as needed by checking the boxes and clicking Edit, or clicking the Account Code link to edit a single line. The Edit Journal Entry Lines window opens.
Make the needed changes, and click Save.
Move to the next record if editing multiple lines.
Repeat steps 6-7 until you've edited all the selected lines.
When finished editing the journal entry, click Save, and post the transaction, or click Cancel to return to the Transaction Journal window.
