Apply Permissions on the Current Permissions Tab

Use the Current Permissions tab to add and subtract individual permissions for the user enabling you to develop a unique set of permissions for a user. Use this tab to:

There are more than 500 permissions, so you'll likely want to sort, search, and/or filter the permissions to make it easier to find the ones you want to apply or remove.

This example illustrates the list sorted by module, then group.

You can use the Quick Search field to filter the list by module name, group name, permission type, and permission description. Example

Apply permissions

  1. Select Security, then Manage Users, from the Administration menu. The Manage Users window opens.

  2. Check the box for the user account you want to edit, and click the Edit button, or click the Last Name link. The User Detail window opens.

  3. Click on the Current Permissions tab.

  4. You may want to sort, search, and/or filter the permissions to make it easier to find the ones you want to apply. See Manage the list.

  5. Check the box(es) for the permissions you want to apply, and click Apply Permission(s). You're asked to confirm this action.

  6. Click Yes, and the permissions are applied.

Remove permissions

  1. Select Security, then Manage Users, from the Administration menu.

  2. While in the Manage Users window, check the box for the user account you want to edit, and click the Edit button, or click the Last Name link. The User Detail window opens.

  3. Click on the Current Permissions tab.

  4. Sort on the Allowed column, or filter Allowed = Yes.

  5. Check the box(es) for the permissions you want to remove, and click Remove Permission(s). You're asked to confirm this action.

  6. Click Yes, and the permissions are removed.
