Enter Time & Overtime Using Batch Edit

You can enter time and overtime only on a New payroll register.

Use the Batch Edit feature on a new payroll register to:

  1. Select Manage Payroll from the Payroll menu. The Manage Payroll window opens listing all the payroll registers for the selected accounting cycle.

  2. Select a New payroll register, and click the Edit button at the top of the window, OR click the Register number link. The Register Details window opens. Note: If the overtime columns aren't displayed, you can choose to display them in the grid using Table Display Settings.

  3. You may want to use the Type pull-down list and/or other filters to narrow the list of jobs for which you want to enter time.

  4. Check the boxes for the jobs for which you want to enter time, or click the box at the top of the grid to select all jobs.

  5. Click the Batch Edit button above the grid, and the Job Batch Edit popup window opens. It displays the default number of days for salary jobs and the default hourly or daily rate for hourly and daily jobs. Different fields are editable depending on the job type. Designation is a read-only field to aid in identifying jobs.

  6. Scroll and page through the records entering time and overtime.

  7. When finished entering time, click Save.
