Editing OT details

When you need to change the OT hourly rate or multiplier, you can enter the OT hours in the Job Edit window or in the OT Details window.

When you click the OT Details button, this window opens. The illustration shows an example of first entering the hours in the Job Edit window, and then clicking OT Details.

Change the OT hourly rate

  1. If you need to change the OT hourly rate, click the Update OT Hourly Rate button, and a popup window opens. Note: You can only change the OT hourly rate after you've entered OT hours.

  2. Enter the Hourly Rate, and click Save. The new rate is saved, and the popup closes.

Change the multiplier and/or account code allocation

  1. If you haven't entered hours, click the Add button, and the Over Time Allocation popup window opens.
If you've already entered hours and saved them in the Job Edit window, check the box for the hours, and click the Edit button. The OT Details window opens displaying the hours you entered. Check the box for the OT hours, and click the Edit button, and the Over Time Allocation popup window opens.

  2. Edit the Hourly Rate if needed — for example, when an employee works two jobs with different pay rates and the overtime rate must be blended.

  3. Enter the OT Hours with up to two decimal places, if you haven't already done so.

  4. Enter or edit the Multiplier with up to two decimal places.

  5. Enter or edit the Account Code and Allocation as needed.

  6. Click Save, then Cancel to return to the OT Details window, or click Save and Add to enter additional OT hours when the employee earns at a different rate if working more than a certain amount of overtime.
