User permissions determine which parts of AptaFund a user can see and access.
If employees don't have access to a certain module — for example, Payroll — they won't even see the Payroll menu in the Home window.
If employees only have permissions for specific actions in a module, they will only see those commands and the windows through which they'll access those commands. For example, a user with the permissions in the Purchasing Operator template won't even see the Purchasing Configuration command on the Purchasing menu, and they will see only the commands for which they have permission in the Purchase Order window.
When new permissions are added to a security template, they are automatically added to users associated with the template.
Permissions are categorized
First by module name — for example, Payroll —
Then by group or function within the module — for example, Deduction Assignment in the Payroll module or Vendor Invoice in the Accounts Payable module. A group name generally refers to a command on the module menu.
Individual tasks are then listed within each group.
There are two ways to apply permissions to a user:
by applying a security template to the user on the Available Security Templates tab in User Details.
by selecting individual permissions on the Current Permissions tab in User Details.
