Employee contracts are created in HTML, and the bookmarks for variable fields use HTML tags. These variable fields include many employee-specific fields from AptaFund's Human Resources and Payroll modules.
Most bookmarks are available in all the layout popups, but the Layout-Body has a few additional bookmark blocks. Click here for a list of all bookmarks.
You can filter the list of bookmarks to make it easier to find the one you want by typing in the field above the Bookmark list. See illustration.
You can format both the text and bookmarks.
Format the font, point size, text color, highlighting, and alignment as you would in a typical word processing document. You can also make the text bold, italic, and underlined, as well adding bulleted or numbered lists.
Click the button if you want to view and edit the HTML directly.
There are also three additional types of formatting you can insert in
the page header, body, and page footer. Remember that anything you insert
in the header or footer will be printed on every page of the contract.
See illustration.
The three are:
Line break: A line break will insert a more definite break between paragraphs than just hitting Enter between paragraphs. The line break may result in a more readable contract. You can check the spacing when you preview the contract.
Paragraph with border: This command inserts a bordered rectangle that allows you to enter text. Note: Bookmark blocks — like the job blocks, allocation block, certificate block, and salary schedule block — are automatically enclosed with a border. See illustration.
Employee signature: This option inserts a line for the employee's signature. It also places the Display Name bookmark and the label, Employee, under the line. See illustration.
